Gstaad and Gyeres

We spent an entire day going on a group tour to the town of Gstaad and Gyeres. It was such a great day, and went by quickly.

There were beautiful views on the ride over.

Jenna took every chance she could to get a nap in. She was out within seconds every time we got on the bus. She looks so chubby in this picture!

On the bus ride over the driver said Gstaad was known for being home to the quietly rich, and by walking around the small town you could definitely see that was true. We saw people with a lot of money and some very pampered little dogs.

We had to sample at least one pastry shop in each town we visited.

Gstaad was our favorite town of the two by far, and one of the highlights of the trip. It belonged in a fairy tale book. It just had one main road, and it was cobblestone.

About a year ago Sam read about some famous European waffles made with caramelized crunchy sugar, and we tried making them at home and they didn't really turn out. We found the waffles here! They were better than Sam imagined :)

We toured a beautiful castle from the 1400s. It was crazy to think it was built before America was even discovered. It had more rooms than we were able to get to.
