Saturday Sledding

Last Saturday we spent the day sledding with friends. It had snowed so much that we didn't go very fast but we had fun anyways. Lacey and Todd brought up a gas stove so we had chili and hot chocolate.... so good. This winter is a completely different experience from last, now that we have nice jackets, gloves, beanies, snow toys, etc. I honestly have no idea why we never bought them last year. We spent the whole 8 months freezing in our little apartment! Even though I hope we are living somewhere warm next year at this time, we are really having fun in Ogden.

Sam graciously was the first to test out that there were no rocks under all that snow.... he is defintiely taking advantage of the fact that he now has health insurance!

This is Dave. When we first met him and his wife, Melissa, we went mountain biking and Melissa told us all about how he breaks everything. Now that we know him well we can tesitify of it. It is seriously crazy! On this sledding trip he was flipping off a fence and completely broke the thing in half. Last time we went sledding he popped 3 tubes, cracked the saucer, and flipped his snowmobile, breaking the tail lights. The neat part about it is that he and his wife are two of the happiest alive and just laugh everything off.

Looks super fun.

Ok - travel agent - her name is Kim Waldron. We've been friends since Elementary school. She's just a stay-at-home mom doing the travel agent gig - which is great - it's not like a fulltime job. So she doesn't charge the typical fees a travel agent does. And she can offer the discounts the cruiselines give her as a booking agent. Her email is kimw@kw-travel.com and website is kw-travel.com

Good luck! Cruises are awesome. We've only done one, but it was sososo much fun. I'm not sure I'll do another one though, cuz I gained like 8 pounds in 6 days. But it was an amazingly enjoyable 8 pounds.

Which 10K did you do? What was your time? I did about 8 miles yesterday and felt great, so I might try 9 next week. Or I might try running more than 3 days/wk. You're registered for it already, right? Captain Steve lives in SLC and is training for a 50-miler
(crazy, I know). I sent him a message on Facebook telling him to come do the Ogden Half with us.
